slightly unpleasant, yet very relieving.

Mickey's 24oz for 0.99.
Time to stock up.

but then again... would I rather have
twenty-four (24) 12 oz. MGD/Bud Light/Coors Light style beer
or
twelve (12) 24 oz. Mickey's?

at 5-6%, I think Mickey's is the economical value. and slightly cheaper also. but a bitch to carry around!

*shrug*

what
the
fuck

is "okiedokie" an acceptable response to
"how are you"
"how are things"
any kind of question that requires a response that describes a feeling, sense of wellness?

try using it in place of "doing good," "doing well," or "great."

  • Person X: "How are you doing?"
  • Idiot X: "I'm okiedokie!"

if it seems to be correct syntax, you're an idiot. I mean, its like "oopsiedoodly" but with an actual defined syntactical purpose.
to me, "okiedokie" sounds more like a an affirmation, as in "affirmative," "correct," even almost an "okay."

because my secretary uses the word wrongly and in her high-pitched uppity sounding receptionist voice, and its fucking annoying.

oh and I'll just go ahead and say I have a bodily hangover.

Since I am still on 2by2.net's mailing list, I get their little notices and announcements and other crap.

Well, apparently, they are spreading their viral spores to New York, the Big Apple. Their key players are heading over for a big conference thing, including the top chick at UCLA (who bought.. stupidly.. a red Lamborghini). ready to spread their good word about a product that isn't even tangible and a service that people have to pay to promote for. Those lucky New Yorkers!

Register now and you'll be part of this exciting new trend of flopping dying dot-com ecommerce under a flag of a pyramid scheme! AND you'll lose your money! yes!!

there are more gay people at SFSU than I thought.
and oddly enough.. they are very stereotypically gay.

suddenly August doesn't look so bleak.

Sundance this Friday (maybe), bonfire stuff on Saturday
Road Trip to Jujubeats weekend after (maybe)
    ? weekend after

But.. I should really spend time with my friends from home before they leave. .. . ..
    *shrug*

    then Sept.
Mekka Tour, Labor day weekend (but I hear somethings up with that)
Slow Motion, LA, two weekends after that (ummm Tiesto on a 3 hour set, Sasha & Digweed, BT, Carl Cox.. need i say more?)

yeah, thats why I'm working now. Originally it was for a computer, a pda, and my trip to HK.

jeeeeez i just worked it out and with all the stuff I plan to do, I'll be left with $334 from my summer job. LAME.

    Maybe its the tie

Cute girls say hi to me somewhat frequently on campus. At the book store, in various offices, on the pathway... ok so maybe its because they HAVE to... hmm.. naaaaaah it must be me. or it could just be this pimp tie that I stole from my Dad. Its an old school grey-black checkerboard thing that looks like it would fit with a leisure suit. Old school tie = pimped out Waylan.

    Currently listening to...
[CD] Tony Touch - The Piecemaker

I've come across some really good hip-hop comps as of late.. err at least, began realizing what the good hip-hop was that I have; Compilations/Mixes/Produced albums. Pattern is that there are some tight collaborations on tracks/whole albums. nice.

    Tony Touch - The Piecemaker
Tony Touch, aka Tony Toca, is a Puerto Rican producer from NY and is all over the good production pieces that I keep noticing. He can rap, and has a good voice for it. He sounds like a Latin Eminem maybe.... MAYBE. what I like best (besides the tight beats) is the inclusion of quality lyricists/vocals like Mos Def, Eminem, Meth, X, Busta & Flipmode, The Wu, and people I can't name without the booklet right now. Latin rap is kinda cool.. when its done Bone Thugs style, its tiiiiiight.
oh yeah, he mixes his produced tracks into each other; that's money. Right now, a spooky omenous beat with Wu mixes into an hypnotic X-ish, tricks infused track with Cash and Xzibit and others, and then into a disco-ey, funky, jazzy, brassy beat with Mos Def and Royce 5'9. Kinda like the Beat Junkie comps (with lots of turntablist play) but with real vocals to base the music around.

    Talib Kweli - Unreleased Mix
Kind of an underground MC? Talib is associated with the sect of hip-hop that's all Afrikaan, Black rights, like Dead Prez, Dilated Peopls, Mos Def, Blackilicious, Black Thought, Roots, etc. One of the guys that is really coming up too. This mix/album I found on Napster, and every track has a guest on it, anyone from Dead Prez, Xzibit, Flipmode, Mos Def, Hi-Tek. I don't have the whole thing.. damn Napster... so yeah.

    Lyricist Lounge vol 2
Tight album overall, awesome collaborations, have gotten radio play too.

Oh NO/these niggaz be scared to husTLE/its been seven days blahblahOH/ax them originals cuz they KNOW/Mos Def, Nate dogg and PharOAH/step away from the mike ya too SLOW/funk might fracture your BONEs bones bones bones bones... [Repeat]"

    Some artist albums:

Dead Prez - Lets Be Free
Afrikaan style, all about oppression of the African, a really varied album, hard tracks, then instrumental based tracks, then mellow cafe background get-it-on tracks too.

hmm haha I'm starting to sound like some music reviewer.. but whatever, I'm just writing stuff for me to know/realize/discover.

Beatnuts - Take it or Squeeze it
I've had this on my HD since June.. but didn't listen to it till last night.. *shrug*

    Wu-tang - Wu Chronicles
Not really a Clan production, but a collaboration album. .lot of East Coast names. again, same as above.

    Marley - collaborations
This is the album where Bob Marley's old songs and vocals are used in collaboration with current artists. One of the better ones to do this, unlike.. Biggie or 2Pac.. oh and 2Pac ain't dead. no way.. I have to find this one again, i just remembered how good it was.

I watched Art of War last night. Wesley Snipes in a martial arts/international/spy/secret agent type thriller.

All I remember is this subtlely attractive Chinese woman with very annunciated British-Chinese accent and pronounced houtytouty-ness forced to strip from a really nice all-black outfit and knee length leather coat and hot blue tinted glasses into her birthday suit. all while in the passenger seat of a mid-70's Camaro (or was it a Firebird..*shrug*). Snipes assumed she was bugged and so made her take her clothes off.

*nod* Good call, that's what I would've done.
