Ohhhh man, great iry times.
something to remember before I forget for the thousandth time in the past light of a thought through
"hey, we should get some more girls and you know, play some games." This is me suggesting getting more female companys for a card typed drinking game that is somewhat adult and provacative.
"... like, sex?" replied one person in words, but probably all in perverted sexually active thought.
After seeing Newbie Dimples Chris pass out as a human mannequin on a bed, I made a gesture of kindness.
"Hey... want a beer?"
He didn't answer. Pity. I have it on film.
me talking to a mutual friend but pretending to be like this friend:
MiXeDxBoY: dang suck my hairy half breed horse cock
ok time to spark one up.
and right now I'm catching on ESPN TV a near funk era-ed version of wresting speed skating (meaning roller skates and black vs white teams) These white people are getting their ass beat.
turning into a great night.

nice.. and sad at the same time.
I've managed to see the sky turn blue and the sun come up every single morning this week. pathetic? just a tad...
James has kept me company the whole week though.

NOW I think I have experienced the inherent power of blogs and blogging and the whole mentality of communication through non-verbal methods.

and it irks me to remember that my young kid-sister of a 16-year old cousin is more sexually active than I.
i mean, what the fuck is going on in high school these days?!
oh that reminds me to put up the article I found in Playboy about sexual activity in today's generation. good reading!

I'm still finishing my symphony analysis for music history --which was due Tuesday by the way -- and I still have to do my mat. sci. lab, which usually takes me 4 hours at least. well, at dawnish hours it starts to take that long anyway.
what am I doing here?
I've been noticing my lack of focus on music. how terrible of me. I feel as if I've betrayed myself. I have an absolute ton of brand new music to listen to, thank god for LANs.
Now Playing:
Bjork - "All is Full of Love"; Stigmata Soundtrack; Trip Hop/Downtempo (?)
an extremely beautiful song.. I didn't realize how surreal it was until listening on my headphones. Bjork's voice is truly unique, she's got that Icelandic thang goin waaaay on! "All is Full of Love" begins with a sensory tripping synth intro, then the beat drops and completely takes over. the song owns me in exactly 18 seconds. how can people make beats like that? friggin A, there are some class producers in the trip hop world..
and I guess the cello is used very widely in her music, I just never noticed. The solo string exudes a kind of tiny yet deep emotion from within, supporting Bjork's heart wrenching vocals. The dreamy chorus echo in the background adds to the airy feel of the song, making it seem as if she herself were wailing from the heavens.

hallows eve
to be
young without an age counter
carefree without responsibility on the horizon
childish without being immature
scared without seeming squeamish
little and expected as such
living without rules to govern the way you are, the way people perceive you, the way you are supposed to live
to be
young carefree childish scared little living
to be
a kid
young spirits came in hordes tonight, galavanting through our halls, destined to find a place to roam as free souls of the night, seeking sweet delights and raw excitement. the inner city... not quite the place to be running around in costume, turns here to our campus, our residents, our home, to welcome this new generation, to give them a place to experience some joy...some sorrow...some fear...some sweeeet goodness.
Happy Halloween kiddies!

"The person that she wants to be is who she is but is not the person she wants to be. Because shes not who she really is."
this only reminds me of what kind of person i am.
what i was. what i changed from. what i changed into. what i keep changing into. what never changes. what i will never change into.
lots of stuff really. and like a friend put it "only I will ever know myself."
not quite ready to lay it all out here

So I forget to note how yesterday was a very good day in terms of class.
My materials science quiz wasn't as bad as I expected; I thought I did rather well and displayed sufficient knowledge of the material.. (haha engineers would've gotten that pun like *snap* that). and for the first time all year, lecture after the quiz was interesting. Probably because I am now seeing everything in qualitative ways. seein the big picture, that usually does it. oh and it was good except for me being utterly annoyed by the guy next to me. the chairs in that room are in sets of two, kind of like the traditional McDonald's seats, so the chairs are pretty much like teeter-totters. it was annoying because he was one of those nervous-tick leg shakers. Abnormally so. and even as he would nod off into lecture induced slumber, swaying this way and that, he would still manage to fucking quake my side of the chairs with his dog-like scratching leg. I was about to just smack him when he would just wake up. so no go on that. So I just quaked easily as hard just to send it back at him. it was like constructive and destructive waves, I had to time it just ride to cancel out his shaking. *head shake* man...
oh and math was great too because I had a pretty good comprehensive understanding of the first half of the quarter after that lecture. and i was happy that i was awake for the whole morning.. until the last 10 minutes of math where I just blacked out and didn't catch a thing.

happy palindrome day, again.

doobin @ 11:20 PM
Why was this week so bad? In all honesty it seems like a bad week for some, horrible for others. in the past couple days, I've heard story after story of discouraging occurences and bad experiences, and unfortunately had one of my own, and it just doesn't seem to be getting all that much better. Since last week, it kind of snowballed.
Are things at a standstill? First my friends complain about things being slow, about things being a "bust" every night. and then sit around doing nothing. making nothing out of their night. too bad for them.
First Quarter rut? I would go so far as to blame the beginning of the school year for this rut in social activity. partly. then again, I still believe things happen when people make them happen. things are slow though, people are concentrating very hard. Suddenly I don't hear the party hype anymore. I think I have too diverse a floor. and no one is a hardcore partier.
Everyone seems to be on edge, that's for sure. two people normally quirky and goofy have suddenly become jittery and anal. we all have. I believe we all have commitments now. and responsibilities. and no time for childish shit. but dammit we all need to be childish. I wish it were like that again.
there is something in the air. and it is infecting everyone. The air has been tainted ever since the disaster, and I don't think people are ready to recover. the world isn't back on normal rotation and everything is out of phase. the changing of the seasons, changing of the world are definite, and a reversion to the norm, the status quo, is not even close to being on the horizon. I don't feel everyone is yet ready to live life normally again. maybe it's just me. but if it's not just me, then something is preventing everyone, everything, from moving on. Something has to change before we can rid ourselves of this stagnation. War can do that I suppose.
there is something in the air. and it is infecting everyone.
Drama this weekend:
Couch war rages on.
tonight, 2S raged onto our floor looking for their couch.
they came in a swarm and were fucking belligerent.
RA and PA confirmed lack of extra couch.
2S residents confirmed lack of extra couch.
3S to blame? I dunno....
A friend is having problems. girl problems. god this seems so familiar, guy being led on, used, realizing it, and deciding to become a playa from now on. He's better I think. take care buddy. watch the JD and 151. be careful about crackheads.
A friend recently broke up with boyfriend and is trying to deal with it. she is very sad. came over and slept, while being sketched, refusing to go back to her place. I think it reminds her of him...
A friend had a lot to drink and seemed to be drowning her deeply hidden sorrows. and suddenly they cried out and overwhelmed her. she's coming to grips with her innermost secrets, but I still worry. take care my fair little mistress.
A friend recently took a break from his girl, also a friend. space is something they already had enough of, Davis being very far. but I guess she needed more.
I came to a boiling point and almost imploded. I had never heard a scream so silent and it shook the very being of me. shook me until my insides purged and my body winced in a sudden and nerve wracking pain. Life is precious. Time is precious. Health is precious. of these, I must cultivate and nurture, as should everyone else.
my message to all:
be safe. watch your SELF. do NOT be discouraged. be aware, and be strong. your time here is precious, as you are precious to me, as you are precious to the rest of the world out there. take care.
