Opening day today.. well, technically its early move-in. Tomorrow is our Official move-in. it will be freaking crazy. 1000 people moving into the hall in the next two days. >
I visited Netring for the first time. I found Prostitute Laundry, by Nicole. She is a fine arts student, majoring in printmaking, and has really nice prints, pictures, drawings. I especially like Marriage Morning, Sailboat & Violins, II, Lite Trail (reminds me of photons :) ), Hundred Figures, and Can Opener. This one is also funny.

ok... 8 hours of sleep in the past 36 hours. with no actual rests or breaks in between (except one when I accidentally broke a pair of ultras.. of course I played with them). I am running on bottom-of-the-tank fumes now. I look like shit. I haven't showered in i don't know how long but long enough enough to become nastified without the effects of physical activity. all for what? for the glory of my floor, my beloved floor, my new community. And yet, I feel like its going to be a very isolated and segregated one due to ethnic dynamics ( I have a gripload of different ethnic groups, absolutely shown by the uniqueness of names. I'm going to have trouble remembering them all.), room placement, the fact that its the 3rd floor (with the stairs throwing off the need for the elevators and consequent "lobby" area to be the central route of exit, my inability to effuse all the enthusiam that I would had I not been drained by lack of sleep, food, and energy.

On a good note, two words: Egg crate (the foam bedding pad)
My bed has NEVER felt so comfortable.. This is one of those times where I can confidently say I'm switching and will never go back to a non-foam bed. NEVER. body wash is getting there too.

I have fallen short of giving complete coverage for myself of my training here. Perhaps it will arise in the form of a summary, an epilogue. *shrug* whatever. I am pulling out some very proper grammar and vocabulary right now, I'm weirding myself out. its fucking late. I have yet MORE shit to complete for the floor. These residents better damn well appreciate my efforts... pity that I know they won't.

So wow, this is a crazy "coincidence." It's a thread/discussion about the possibility/effects of a 707 or 767 hitting the World Trade Center. eeee >

Wow, this reminds me of that famous statue/photo with the army soldiers effusing pure patriotism by trying to raise an American flag.

Day 3 cont: We use marketing ideas for publicizing programs. funny how that works, but same idea, get people to want our product. Bowling at night with the staff was nice, I bowled a pitiful 78. played Mafia (the card version) for the first time. MAN how the analytical sides come out of these people. One RA was so confident he had me figured out as a PERSON. um yeah suck it you idiot. after 1 round of the game you think you understand me? anyway. I was a Mafia the first time and I didn't know what to do. eventually killed the whole town though. sweet!

Day 4: Speakers came to talk about cults at 9am. By definition, 2by2.net is a cult. Mindnumbed people blindly following a controlling and persuasive leader (or goal), the main goals of the cult being money and constant recruitment. Members disappear from society, only associate with 2by2, and eventually lose their lives to it. Thank god for Pastor "Bob" (i forgot his name but he is a good man) at UCLA to "bring the members back to normal society." The next 6 or 7 hours was dedicated to group sharing and bonding with my fellow PAs. it was awesome. really. some stuff I mightve bothered to open up with.. but i didn't. I should've set the precedent. oh well, i have time for that elsewhere. but i realize that there are many in our staff who people watch and sit back and observe others. and so people who opened up provided good analytical material. i was arrested once. that wouldve let them way into my comfort zone.
