i hate not getting email.
As ass as that may sound, ever since I started this job, I have always had new letters and posts and memos and crap like that in my box, and annoying as they have been, it made me feel good.

I checked like 30 times tonight and no one wrote me anything. how lonely i feel right now.... heh.

so everyone out there, make me feel better and write this pitiful excuse for a wandering fool.

so.. I'm listening to my first trance in months. What a dying genre. It's nice yeah, so is 80's synthpop. everyone go HERE for some EXTREMELY GOOD music. full on mixed sets. actually.. don't because you will all clog the server making it worse for me to download. haha nmind I have all their new stuff already! go and download and enjoy. TWO Digweed sets that I haven't listened to yet, the Tiesto is somewhat.. meager sounding now.

And simple as that is, MP3s and the way I deal with them is a kind of representation of who I am. I think thats a dysfunction with me, I tend to collect and collect and collect, and sometimes actually don't even pay attention to what I acquire simply because I am satisfied knowing that I have built such a collection. To have these tracks, these good songs, these many files means to be ubercool with digital music, no? Apparently! But yeah anyway, I'm not listening to everything I get. It's just that sometimes I download too fast for my own good, I wan't to get everything that looks good. And what happens? suddenly all four drives on the computer have about 20 MB of space.

Time to unload the porn.

Or else I sit and flip through ever single track of electronic that is in a 'misc' or 'temp' folder and delete what I actually don't like. Which by now is a lot of the crap that I have.

I feel like writing about trance right now. Perhaps I'll go rant on ILR as well. The Music Forum is actually REALLY good reading. Stuff like this, discussions about differences between subgenres and whatnot. good stuff!

So I think in a nutshell, trance is being phased out quicker'n you can say Oakenfold. No one really pushes it anymore, except for those select few who are the only ones that can (Tiesto, PVD), and it no longer is the headlining sound at parties. It moves yes, but I think Trance has lost its flavor. Simple lines, predictable layering, overly-lush melodies, exaggerated climaxes, are just not enough anymore. not for me anyway. But maybe that's because I didn't really have an appreciation for music back when I liked mainly trance. actually I know I didn't. But yeah, I hear better stuff elsewhere. especially now, when there is no shortage of good azz music.
And so is cued the progressive sound....

So whatever, I can't present this in a clean looking format like James and Dave and everyone else out there.
Yeah I should take the time to figure out the tables, but I don't want to. I'm supposed to be doing a lab for shit's sake!

Sure I won't take this for law, but it raises good points. Especially at a time like now. The way they explain Antisocial... I can see that.

Read About Teddy has words and pictures that talk about a defunct relationship. "Brutal... Jarring....Satisfying" is what a real review said about it. It's really quite grabbing and makes me want to read it all the way to the end. Professionally done or something!

Is it possible for someone whom you have never met, never seen, never come into physical contact with, to feel some kind of attachment to you? To have that type of impact on someone, where they actually think about you and you have a place in their hearts/minds, where they associate something with you... is quite a phenomenon.
3000 miles away, 3 hours away, one click away; hey, I miss you too Ji.
