"Spill in Produce, Aisle 420, Spill in aisle 420"
........
oh and because I'm a produce enthusiast, I've just got to exclaim woohoo on my grocery shopping. Despite a little mishap with money-handling, all is well and both parties are satisfied. I am very satisfied actually. Produce is never better than when from well controlled indoor "greenhouses."
Hopefully by the end of the week next week I will have a selection of Irvine kush, BC chron, and White Rhino. gosh an actual selection. I've dreamed of the day when I could decide what kind of euphoria to produce.
"I think I'm in the mood for an uplifting high today.... wait....mmm naaaah, time to get STONEY"
Too bad the whole ordeal took TEN HOURs to resolve. bleh, so dead when I came back...
and wooo look at me, blogging when I should be last minute cramming for my final in an hour! what? of course I have lube ready. I learned my lesson as a freshman. Hopefully I won't have to use it. too much that is...

You have a collect call from 'Fuck shit up!'
........
I think there's a difference between waking up, and getting out of bed. Often the time span between these two acts ranges from less an 30 seconds to well over 2 hours.
proceeding...
Having woken up in a most provocative way, and over the course of two hours or so, I was sitting in bed with Lydia aka SLF: Special Lady Friend chatting with Roommate Dzuy aka Titi about our friend Justin aka Infidel who is currently studying abroad in Wales, England. The previous day he left a message on our machine:
Justin: "Hey Dzuy, just calling to see what's up, blahblahblah... blahblah.. some more blahblah... oh and remind me to tell you how I cheated on my girlfriend with a 30 year old woman. Alright later. Oh and tell Waylan I miss him."
While we were discussing our friend's infidelic actions:
Me: "So he cheated on his girl in SB aka Santa Barbara?"
Titi: "Yeah, but he say's he was gonna break things off anyway."
Me: "OH really... Well, if he thinks everything's cool then...."
Titi: "Yeah, I just hope he didn't fuck shit up."
Little did he know that he was being recorded by a collect call agency to have a message send to his mother in Houston. When he realized this and furthered his plight more by repeating over and over again "it just sent 'you have a collect call from: Fuck Shit Up' to my mom! FUCK!" it was hilarious! Well, that combined with his whiny outbursts. I guess you had to be there. In my bed. with me.

Why is the sky blue?
I think elementary school really fucked us over as kids, giving us truly incorrect information to grow up and pretend to be knowledgeable with. and the thing is, its the most simplest of things that we still fail to realize the truth about. Pretend you're Jay Leno, Jaywalking. Ask anyone on the street, any random stranger, why the sky is blue, and I bet 75% will not know, or have a bunk reason. of the 25% that have a good reason, probably less than 10% know the real reason. and less than 5% will be able to back it up with actual physical reasoning (but that of course comes with certain education). meaning? that 75-90+% have no proper applicable physical knowledge of the world, or at least to that extent of the world, and none attributed to education.
What did we learn in school? one answer I've been posed is that the blue is sunlight reflecting off the ocean. Ok, sounds good, sounds acceptable, good enough to fool the next unsuspecting dupe on the street. But then you'll find the occasional thinker and be asked, "well, then why is water blue?" and you will be stumped the fuck out of. Try to reason that and you'll look like a goon. and there go your chances of sounding intelligent. and to possibly even impress someone. a girl? a guy? a peer? yeah, good one Sherlock.
Well, thanks to the latest chapters on optics and related material in physics (ie reflection, refraction, diffraction, etc. you know it), today I learned why they sky is blue. (I bet I sound like I've made this huge discovery or something, haha)
Of the colors of the visible spectrum, blue has the shortest wavelength. Because of this, it is more succeptible to being scattered. Specifically, the blue portion of sunlight is "scattered" everywhere by the oxygen molecules in the Earth's atmosphere. Furthermore, in the day, we tend to see more of this scattered blue light because it is emitted closer to the sun, the sun also being closer to us during this time. Thus, the sky is blue because of all the blue light being reflected everywhere by the atmosphere.
On the flipside, why do we see shades of red/orange/purple/etc when the sun sets?
same reason. Because of longer/longest wavelength of colors getting to red in the visible spectrum, the red is less likely to be scattered. This means that it is more direct in its path, as opposed to being reflected in all directions. This means that while the sun is on the horizon, the farthest away from us, the red is more heavily transmitted to us or seen by us, and is more directly "shot" at us than blue. That's why you'll still see a blue sky, but then below it layers of colors progressively going towards a red. Sometimes the sun will actually seem red; this means it is at its maximum distance away from us.
and so there we have it. a rebuttal of the shit we learned in grade school.
........
hmm what the hell did we even know about colors in general?
I also learned today that blue + green does not make yellow, as we used to think when messing with paints.
In terms of the spectrum:
blue + green = cyan
blue + red = magenta
green + red = yellow
everything mixed together = white
all you net savvy web designers should know CYMK (as opposed to RGB).
but in terms of paint, the whole deal is that each "color" is basically an absorption of the other two colors in its "triple." Red paint is paint that absorbs blue and green. Green absorbs blue and red. and so on. When mixed together, you get two colors that collectively absorb ALL colors. right? because red + green = absorption of (blue and green) and (blue and red), all colors of RGB have been absorbed, meaning black paint (or dark dark paint).
Color printing apparently is special because it makes it so colors only absorb one other color, so as to not cancel out all in the spectrum. Nifty I say.
........
Oh, and interesting to note that my professor gave credit to ravers for contributing to Physics, because of the use of LED photons. especially the ones that, when spun, separate into multiple colors. i laughed when someone tried to be a jokester and implicatively asked where he got the LED from.
........
And speaking of red, I just got a red FLiP skateboards cap (fitted!) to specifically wear goofily sideways or at odd angles on my head.
........
And did anyone know that LASER is an acronym for Light Amplification through Stimulated Emission of Radiation?
........
And also, I learned that the reason we see spots -- or "floaters" as they're called -- after looking at the sun or any bright light or a reflection of light (ie blank white paper in the sun) is because there are blood cells and microscopic debris in the fluid of the eyeball whose shapes contribute to a sort of "outline" when seen against the light. What we see is an outline of light, or a shadow of light, if you would -- a diffraction pattern. hmm this wasn't worded well for the non-physcics person to understand. oh well its late.
........
All in all, a good day in learning little stuff about the world around us.

Introduced myself to another random person last night, Jorge aka Elmo, third one this week! got to talkin about
:: "Junglist" mentality
defined as simply 'chill.' refers most to a style, akin to tranceheads/happycore style. apparently most dnb DJs and producers, even up to the big names, are laid back people. go fig
:: Jungle/DnB/Breaks
traded some songs, names, as referenced for myself below
Niko
Ink
Shy FX
:: cid/magicap trips
anecdotes and stories about mad flipped out shit goin on while trippin. "Thats guts!"
::personal connections
Jorge knows James and the Irvine crew. go fig. and he skates with James.

Time for Battle
........
a harsh battlefield on a distant world abuzz with the glow and sound of hundreds of lightsabers.
Jedi knight battle. Braveheart style. need i fucking say more? and each Jedi has a style dependent on character, not martial art. Making Episode II coverage on this topic here
and we also see how Boba Fett comes about. in Ep II, we see him as an 11 year old under the guidance of his "father," bounty hunter Jango Fett. in a chrome costume. yup.
maybe LA will have some sneak of this...actually, probably not. LucasArts bastards! so, I'm probably going to try to see this three times in a day and actually pay for it (well we'll see about that)

Anew?
........
for one to see another for all his/her glory and yet still not see them is but the greatest compliment one could give.
........
ok ok ok
this has gone on long enough and there has been quite a sufficient amount of inspiration for thoughts, conclusions, and ramblings.
lets begin anew.
........
the final catalyst in the long chain of this chemical reaction to get me to blog again:
Lucky's Journal. Baller Hip Hop chick from BC who, is technically ghetto compared to the rich Bostonians. and comes to great conclusions on thoughts people just don't ever think about. thats like a step further than anyone would normally spend their brainpower on. no, two steps.
i found out she was browsing my bloggie for a good while. ironically I echoed her interest and was scrolling down hers for a while as well.
and props to her for justifying her irks and whatnot (ie why commentating has gone to complete shit and turned into a mad attempt at seeming like intelligent discussion with obscure SAT words when all they're doing is calling a game.) I mean, take Bob Costas and his partner, Stupid Ditz [i think thats her name], during the opening ceremonies of the Olympics.
BC: "The French are the only group to have brought alcohol, champagne."
SD: "They say they plan on using it on just French victories."
BC: "Hopefully they don't partake in gratuitous imbibing."
... riiiiight. ok so he might know what imbibe means. I haven't heard someone utter that word in daily language since a talk on drinking by some official people here. and it doesn't deter from the fact that he swears like he's the man. what a tool. and NBA commentating isn't any better. Part of it is the sheer puppetry of these people. They read off cards. If they are given random stats to blabber, what says they aren't given blabber to blabber too?
they really need a Dennis Miller or a Jay Mohr (?) or a Jon Stewart or a stoned midget or even a three legged barking dog for entertainment value. or to play some clips of Kobe jams. the latest Adidas piece kicked ass, except for the 8 foot hoop. but hey, if it means some dope shit, by all means. NBA should learn. instead of putting on lame Slam Dunk contests. oh my, what is this, belated bitch about old ass sports blog?
anyway, visit her.
........
ack lack of sleep is catching up. enough for now. I've got my current thoughts out.
oh, that and I think I'm kind of submissive. which kind of is bad, I'm a guy dammit. I should be taking the lead. [shrug] explanation next time.
